Chapter 109 DEED TRANSFER TAX BYLAW
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER
TAKE NOTICE that at a public meeting held March 25, 2024, Town Council gave First Reading to amend Chapter 109 Deed Transfer Tax Bylaw.
This Bylaw will introduce a revenue to the town that will support significant infrastructure projects in the coming years. Kentville is the only town in the province that does not use this tool for revenue.
FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the Second (Final) Reading of these Bylaw amendments is scheduled to take place at the Meeting of Town Council on April 29, 2024 at 6pm.
A copy of this Bylaw is available at the Town Office at 354 Main Street, Kentville, NS, between the house of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (holidays excluded), or on the Town’s website at www.kentville.ca. Any objections should be made in writing to the Town Clerk.
