Whether they are walking downtown, meeting kids at the local schools, or keeping pedestrians and motorists safe, our town’s police officers are a critical and appreciated presence.

The Kentville Police Service (KPS) consists of 17 officers, along with auxiliary members who volunteer with officers and support them in their work. The KPS officers are highly-trained on existing and emerging issues and equipment, with professional development opportunities keeping them at or above industry standards.

The KPS is strengthened by partnerships with Criminal Intelligence Services Nova Scotia (CISNS) and Kings County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit.
