​​​​​​There is a new park in town! 

The new (yet to be officially named) dog park in Kentville has been highly anticipated by dog owners near and far and we are so happy to be officially opening it for public use on July 7th 2023.  Read below for some more information including a few rules to follow while enjoying the new public space with your pets. Safe enjoyment of the park by all is our highest priority, and we hope everyone will have a great time being outside with their dogs. 

• The dog park is a partnership between the Village of New Minas and Town of Kentville
• The Village of New Minas Recreation and Community Development department will be operating the Dog Park. They can be reached at info@newminas.com or 902-681-6972.
• The Town of Kentville will provide maintenance to the space through an agreement with the Village of New Minas
• The Dog Park has not been named at this point and it is with the Town of Kentville Municipal Asset Naming Committee
• There are two sections to the dog park:
  • Small Dogs – 35 lbs and under – please use the left gate entrance to the park
  • Large Dogs – over 35 lbs – please use the right gate entrance to the park
• Hours of operation are 6:00am – 9:00pm Daily
• Dog Park rules are posted below, please review them before visiting the park with your pets
