Princess Kentville 2011 Brianna Vaughn, who represented the Town of Kentville at the 79th Apple Blossom Festival, will pass on her crown and title to a new Princess Kentville 2012. She will be accompanied by her child attendant, MacKenzie Amber Belen. This year’s Tea will be held on Thursday April 26th. Child Attendant 2011! MacKenzie Amber Belen
Mackenzie, also known as “Macky” is the 8 year old daughter of James and Lisa Belen from Kentville. MacKenzie is in grade 2 at Kings County Academy where she enjoys science, especially blowing things up! MacKenzie’s favorite color is pink, and she likes soccer, gymnastics, and playing outside with her younger brother Callum and other friends. When Makenzie grows up, she hopes to become a painter, or maybe a dolphin trainer. Congratulations MacKenzie!
Junior Princess Kentville Mentorship Program
The Town of Kentville encourages young ladies to improve their public speaking and interview skills by participating in the Junior Princess Kentville Mentorship Program. The program was developed by the Kentville Parks and Recreation Department in 2010 to increase interest in Princess Kentville and start young girls thinking about becoming candidates from a younger age. Junior candidates participate in the interview process, deliver speeches at the Tea, and get to see firsthand what it’s like to run for Princess Kentville! In 2011 three Kentville girls participated in the program, and received their Junior Princess Sashes at the Kentville Tea.

Mayor David L Corkum presented Junior Princess Candidates Cecilee Herber, Taylor Simmons and Alison Bray with certificates of completion and Junior Princess Kentville Sashes at the Kentville Tea on April 28th.
