You are invited to the Town of Kentville’s first community celebration concert On Saturday, August 7th Aberdeen Street will be closed down all day for these exciting FREE events: 4:00pm – Kentville’s Talent Search: Watch bands and musical acts compete to become Kentville’s “Next Top Band” and the grand prize of $200.00 from Long & McQuade. 6:00pm – Beer in the Headlights take the stage. 8:00pm – Kevin Davison & Band rock out till sun down. Kentville Harvest Festival October 3rd 2009
Kentville not only celebrates the beginning of the harvest season, but also the end. The annual Harvest Festival is held the beginning of each October and welcomes not only the world famous “Pumpkin People” by thousands of visitors who make the town a destination point, during their autumn tour of the province. Activities involve hay wagon rides, crafts, community bands, buskers, competitions, and lots of great things to eat.

Kentville Volunteer Recognition Night 2010
Volunteers are the heart of any community, and Kentville is no exception. Each year, in conjunction with Provincial Volunteer Week, the Town of Kentville honours its area volunteers at the Volunteer Recognition Dinner and Ceremony. This year’s dinner will be held on April 22 at the Kentville Fire Hall.

Kentville Pumpkin People October 3rd - 25th 2009
Pumpkin People from all over left their pumpkin patches to come to Kentville and "Go For Gold" in the 2009 Pumpkin People Celebration of the Winter Olympics. They were seen all over town playing hockey, ski jumping, figure skating and cheering each other on as they competed for the gold medal.

Torchlight Parade November 19th 2009
Every Christmas season the towns’ people gather for the annual Torchlight Parade and
Christmas party. This involves the lighting of the huge Christmas tree in the centre
of town, a visit from Santa, a skating party of the local arena, entertainment and
some delicious hot apple cider.
