Kentville Pumpkin People Festival 2011
It’s Kentville’s 125th Anniversary! To mark this special year, the Pumpkin People wanted to do something BIG! So they are recreating all your favorite heroes, villains and action scenes from classic movies, comic books and tv shows! All the big names will be there. Spiderman, the Hulk, Ghostbusters, The Joker and even Megatron! Rumour has it our favorite green foursome from the 90’s may even make an appearance! There are over a dozen great scenes erected all across town. Visit Kentville from October 1st-25th and discover why so many families enjoy returning year after year to experience the magic of Pumpkin People. Town of Kentville Street Fest
On Saturday, August 13th 2011 the Town will shut down Aberdeen Street and host a huge street party! Come visit Aberdeen Street between 2:30-10:30 for live music, entertainment, food vendors, beer concessions, dancing, fun and fireworks to cap off the night.

This exciting family celebration of fresh local food and healthy eating is happening in Memorial Park on August 14th. Torchlight Parade November 17th 2011
Every Christmas season the towns’ people gather for the annual Torchlight Parade and
Christmas party. This involves the lighting of the huge Christmas tree in the centre
of town, a visit from Santa, a skating party of the local arena, entertainment and
some delicious hot apple cider.
